Hello" Sanaya 's voice was sharp

Before the other person could say anything, she cut the call .

She stepped out of the mumbai airport . the world felt heavy but her eyes ? Still fierce .

The air was humid . her high heels clicked against the pavement as she walked towards the black car waiting at the parking. 

No Emotion.
No Smile.
No Drama.

She opened the backseat door and set silenctly . The driver don't dare speak- he already knew where to take her. 

As the car stop infront of a  house she came out and move towards there but this place never felt like " Home"  . It was just walls to her.

Inside her aunt came running

"Sanaya beta ! Tu kab aayi ? Ek call bhi nhi kiya ? Hum toh dar gya the! "

Sanaya gave a small - fake , practiced.

" Chinta mat kijiye mai thik hu aur kaam mai busy thi bas aur kuch nhi . Aap log toh apni vacation mein busy the na ..."

( "Don’t worry, I’m fine. I was just busy with work, that’s all. You all were busy with your vacation anyway, right?" )

Before her aunt could respond,  her uncle joined in , his voice deep and serious.

"Sanaya woh...tum is shaadi ke liye tayyar ho na...?"

( "Sanaya, uh… you’re ready for this marriage, right?")

Her smile vanished.  Cold stare.

" Shaadi? "Her voice was calm but deadly. " Mujhe kisi ne pucha bhi nhi ?ya bas decision le liye gaya? "

(“Marriage?” Her voice was calm, but deadly.
“Did anyone even ask me? Or was the decision just made for me?”)

Her uncle didn’t flinch

"Raichand  Family se rishta fix ho chuka hai.  Ladka bhi milne ne ko tayyar hai.  Tumhari haa samjh ke hi baat aage badhi hai."

("The alliance has been fixed with the Raichand family. The groom is also ready to meet you. Things moved forward only because we assumed you had agreed." )

Sanaya let out a sarcastic laugh.

" Mai yaha kiski dulhan baane nahi aagi hu."

("I haven’t come here to become someone’s bride.")

The silence in the room,  sanaya stared into the mirror. Hair damp.Jaw tight .

"Aryan Raichand ...?"

"Singhania aur Raichand...power ka perfect combo let see how it must be."

She slammed the drawer shut . "

"Ab game mai khelungi .....apne rules ke saat ."

("Now I’ll play the game… but with my own rules.")
